Huawei Seeds For The Future Bangladeshi Winners Fly to China

Six Bangladeshi winners of Huawei's 'Seeds for the Future 2023' competition have started their visit to China. During this 10-day visit, they will participate in technology and cultural exchange programs. They will also, attend the “Talent Summit 2023” while experiencing traditional and modern China, including a visit to Huawei's R&D center and headquarters.

The winners of this year's 'Seeds for the Future' competition are - Mohammad Azmain Fatin and Arpon Saha of Dhaka University's Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department (EEE); Farsia Kawsar Chowdhury of BUET's ME Department; Maisha Farzana of the CSE Department of RUET; Sajid Ahmad Chowdhury from IUT CSE Department and Al Mumtahina Erica from EEE Department of the same university. 

Huawei organized the 'Seeds for the Future' in Bangladesh for the 10th time this year with the aim of building a strong ICT ecosystem in the country. More than 600 applications were received this year. Top 20 students were selected for the final stage based on merit in their profile, concept and presentation. Six winners were selected from the top 20 through a series of interviews and presentations on empowering society using ICT.

In this regard, Huawei South Asia Board Member and Public Affairs and Communications Director Jason Lee said, "Huawei's 'Seeds for the Future 2023' aims to empower the youth of Bangladesh with the power of IT knowledge." We all know that ICT is the future. Through this visit to China, students will gain practical knowledge about the ICT industry and how it can benefit society. One of the aims of 'Seeds for the Future' is to empower the youth so that they can take the lead of a smart Bangladesh in the future. I wish all the best to this year's winners.”

Notably, 'Seeds for the Future' is Huawei's globally recognized flagship program, which has been producing talent for the digital sector for 15 years. More than 15 thousand students worldwide have benefited from this initiative. Huawei is trying to build a strong ICT ecosystem in Bangladesh and this program will help students to be a part of it. Such initiatives of Huawei will help turn the country into Smart Bangladesh. Besides, the youth will play a role in creating the right opportunities to enhance their skills and lead Bangladesh towards the new digital transformation era.
